Well…here it is! The third version of my site is finally up. There’s still little bits I need to do, but the majority is here. I am now the lord and master of WordPress and it WILL do my bidding…I hope.
I’ve made it so that pages are now easy to update and projects are easy to add. There might be things I need to change at a later date but for now they work just how I want them to.
Being a member of the Web Designer Forum I thought I’d make the most out of this redesign and submit my site for nomination for the July Website of the Month award on their forum. Whilst it’s only a community thing, it means quite a bit if I am successful because it’s voted on by fellow web designers, so while it’s not an Oscar, it’s important within the area of web design. From previous months entries, I have to say it’ll be hard to do well, but hopefully all will go well. Voting takes place from July 19th – July 31st.

Cheers. It took me long enough to get done (I had quite a few setbacks like my pc dieing and stuff) but it’s here now and I’m happy to say it’s the best design I’ve done so far.
Wordpress is really quite awkward at times but I’m glad I stuck with it. I might move onto something like Joomla, maybe even use it on my year project at uni if they’ll let me. Then again, might be a bit risky using something I’m not used to.
Thanks for the comment, I really appreciate it.

No problem mate, just updated your logo here too and Tom’s – http://www.reed-design.co.uk/current.htm – yeah Joomla would be cool to experiment with but like you say a final year project might not be the best time to do it – lol – I am trying to think of something interesting to do for year three, got a few ideas on the back burner, the only thing I can’t decide on is the teaching somebody a task but hey plenty of time to think of something and enjoy the rest of the summer.
