I love projects that come along that test my current abilities and along the way allow me to learn new skills. This is one such project. The site is a side scrolling gallery using jQuery and intuitive use of WordPress gallery shortcodes for ease of use.
Obviously the main feature of the site is the gallery. For ease of use I used jQuery to allow the user to scroll up and down on their mouse to control going left and right on the page. Also the site uses dynamic image resizing. On normal pages, there’s a single background which uses the WordPress featured image as the main background of the page and will dynamically resize itself based on the browser window size. The gallery works in the same kind of way in that the images in the gallery resize vertically to always view the full pictures no matter the size of your screen.
